A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Bergen County Criminal History does not retain those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
A message sent directly to us may be retained long enough to review and answer it. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Standard technical information may be collected when a page loads:

- The referring website, when one is available

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Bergen County Criminal History does not keep, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its content identifies official routes through Bergen County agencies, New Jersey Courts, the New Jersey State Police State Bureau of Identification, and the New Jersey Sex Offender Internet Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or profiles about other people, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the embedded search tools. Their privacy policies, retention schedules, and sharing rules apply to information entered there. Review the selected provider's policy before submitting a query because this policy does not control that processing.

Links may lead to Bergen County offices, New Jersey agencies, court portals, legal resources, or outside tools. The destination's privacy policy applies after leaving this website, so it should be reviewed before personal details are provided.

This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Information identified as having been provided by a minor will be reviewed for deletion.
